About Me:Growing up, I was the Creative Child—making jewelry, drawing, all kinds of art! But, I never painted on canvas and honestly was even afraid to paint. Two years ago, God took me by surprise and instructed me to paint for Him. Afraid to fail, I procrastinated and did not obey for months. On January 1, 2016, I took initiative, and I painted my first actual artwork. I allowed the Holy Spirit to direct me, and He opened up a world of art that I had not ventured into before. It was thrilling—all fear was gone. All He wanted was for me to obey. Imagine that.
Two months later, I painted for the first time in a public conference. Although those feelings of intimidation and doubt threatened to overwhelm me, God had other ideas. He showed me how to envision, inspired me to put those ideas on the canvas, and opened a well of life and creativity to me. His Spirit flows through me onto the canvas, and He has shown me how to worship Him within my art. This has been a journey; I have had the opportunity to paint at home, conferences, and churches. Through the struggles, I have learned to let the Holy Spirit guide and direct me. He has allowed me to be a vessel for His honor. He has brought me breakthroughs in so many areas while painting. My prayer is that others will experience emotional, physical, and spiritual healing, as well as deliverance and their own breakthroughs. Each time the Holy Spirit determines what guidance His children need, it gives me such excitement. I can’t contain myself, and I just dance and weep. I want that shaking of joy and freedom to fill each person as they look at my art and get their own revelation that digs deep into the core. |
Why do i do this?
I love hearing testimonies of those that come across my art or while I am painting at a conference. I never get tired of hearing confirmation or what their experience was like. One time, when I was painting “Wash Over Me,” at a conference in Amarillo, TX, I was told that each stroke of the wave that I made they could feel it as an actual wave was moving them. Why I was able to take the first baby step: I am so thankful to my spiritual parents Rodney & Denise Orsborn from Masters Arrow Ministries for believing, encouraging, and pouring into me, during this journey from the very beginning. You both pushed me forward. I am forever grateful.
